Dr. Chiasson is a 1995 graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. He graduated with honours and is the recipient of the Bausch & Lomb excellence in contact lens award winner. His training includes a rigorous rotation at the JFK hospital in Philadelphia. He is a member of both the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Chiasson has participated in studies for contact lenses and contact lens solutions and has consulted with corporations on eye care topics. He actively co-manages patients for laser, cataract, and other surgical procedures. He has appeared on television and in print media discussing vision and ocular health. He speaks to local community groups on topics concerning eye care. He also co-hosts a podcast that is produced for colleagues in eye care.
Dr. Chiasson enjoys golf, hockey, soccer, and reading. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two sons.
